ABOUT ME
Dominique Duarte was born in Hampton, Virginia and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance from Murray State University. While in college, she found her love for performing and was seen in several musical productions, opera workshops, and was a member of the MSU Concert Choir for four years. In 2010, she sang with the MSU Concert Choir at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Dominique is an alumna of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity.
Some of her performance credits include Don Giovanni, Dido & Aeneas, The Magic Flute, and Les Mamelle de Tiresias (Chorus) with Opera Memphis, The Color Purple (Nettie) and Gospel at Colonus (Chorus) at Playhouse on the Square, Jesus Christ Superstar (Priest) at Theatre Memphis, Hairspray (Dynamtie/Little Inez) at Murry's Dinner Playhouse in Little Rock, Arkansas. She studied for two semesters at the American Musical Dramatic Academy in New York City and performed in Ragtime the Musical (Harlem Ensemble) at Midtown Arts Center in Fort Collins, Colorado.
